The Mighty Anglers Summer Camp Tuesdays

Whether your child is a total beginner holding a rod for the first time or a young angler looking to level up their skills, this 5-week outdoor course is the perfect summer activity. Over five full-day sessions, our expert coaches will guide them through the fundamentals of coarse fishing in a safe, enthusiastic, and highly engaging environment.

We pride ourselves on hands-on outdoor education, building confidence, and teaching a deep respect for fish welfare and the environment.

Key Details:

Start Date: Tuesday, July 28th (Runs for 5 consecutive Tuesdays)

Time: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Who: Ages 7 to 16

Location: Kernow Coarse Fishery

Cost: £125 for the full 5-week block (Just £25 per full-day session!)

Capacity: Strictly capped at 10 participants. (If these Tuesday spots sell out fast, we will look at opening a Thursday group!)

The 5-Week Curriculum:

Week 1: The Basics & Water Safety – Getting familiar with the gear, learning to tie secure knots, and catching those first fish!

Week 2: Bait, Bites & Biology – Understanding what fish eat, mixing groundbait, and safe fish handling on the bank.

Week 3: Levelling Up Tactics – Moving up to rod and reel mechanics, plumbing the depth to read the lake, and accurate casting.

Week 4: Fish Care & The Environment – A deep dive into fish welfare, using unhooking mats, proper net usage, and understanding the local wildlife.

Week 5: The Mini-Match! – A fun, friendly competition to put all their new skills to the test, complete with a weigh-in and awards presentation.

What to Bring:

All fishing rods, tackle, and bait are fully supplied by The Mighty Anglers CIC. Just bring a packed lunch, plenty to drink, and dress sensibly for the Cornish weather!
